FERRY HOUSE

The simplicity of this delicate glass addition to the rear of this period house in Barnes rationalises the previously complex plan and allows the constantly changing light from the garden to penetrate the house. The language of the single storey addition, which increases the footprint of the property by one third, is replicated in a garden pavilion, which sets up a visual dialogue with the house and further breaks down the boundary between inside and out.
